RevView terms
These terms apply to RevView, a service of Hospitality Skills. The order terms and the data processing agreement are part of every order; the terms of use apply to every user.
Order terms
Signed with every order by the customer's authorised representative.
These terms apply to every RevView order and are signed by the customer's authorised representative. The Dutch text prevails; this is a translation.
1. Parties and definitions. Supplier: Hospitality Skills, Pieter de Hoochstraat 74-4, 1071 EH Amsterdam, Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce 34354692 ("HS"). Customer: the company signing the order, for the hotel(s) named in it. RevView: the online service at app.revview.nl with its reports and e-mails. Order: the digital order form with plan, hotels, prices and signature. PMS: the hotel's property management system from which RevView retrieves data.
2. Conclusion. The agreement is concluded when the customer signs the order digitally with the code RevView sends to the e-mail address given. HS stores the signed order as a PDF with version, time, e-mail address and IP address and sends the customer a copy. The signer declares to be authorised to bind the customer.
3. Service. HS gives the customer access to RevView for the hotels in the order, with the features of the chosen plan as described on revview.nl on the day of the order. RevView retrieves data from the hotel's PMS once the hotel has activated the connection; without a working connection RevView cannot show figures. The weekly report starts on the first Monday after the connection works and the start form is complete.
4. Term and cancellation. The subscription runs per calendar month and can be cancelled monthly as of the end of the current month. Cancellation is by e-mail to HS or in the RevView settings. There is no trial period; the customer can first cancel as of the end of the first month.
5. Prices and payment. Prices are stated in the order and exclude VAT. There is no setup fee. RevView is invoiced monthly in advance. Payment runs through the payment service HS offers (Mollie), with a mandate for subsequent terms; the payment term is 14 days from the invoice date. HS may adjust prices once a year with at least two months' notice; an increase above inflation (CPI) entitles the customer to cancel as of the effective date.
6. Suspension for non-payment. If payment is not received after a reminder and a further 14 days, HS may suspend access to RevView until payment is received. The payment obligation continues during suspension. If payment is 60 days overdue, HS may terminate the agreement.
7. Customer obligations. The customer ensures that HS may retrieve and use the PMS data for RevView, keeps the start form up to date (contacts, report recipients, rooms, channels, commissions, budget) and uses RevView in line with the terms of use (part B). The customer is responsible for the accuracy of the data in its PMS and for the decisions it takes on the basis of RevView.
8. Data. The hotel's data remains the customer's. HS processes personal data only as processor under the data processing agreement (part D), which forms part of this order. HS may use data in aggregated form that cannot be traced to a hotel for market indices, benchmarks, improving RevView and training forecasting models, also after the agreement ends. A market index is only shown when it is built from at least five hotels.
9. Availability and freshness. HS provides RevView on a best-effort basis, without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability. Maintenance is scheduled outside office hours where possible. Data from Mews is normally visible within minutes of a change, data from other systems at least daily; the as-of date shown is leading. If a PMS vendor stops or changes its connection, HS will make reasonable efforts to restore it; if that fails within 30 days, either party may cancel for the hotel concerned and HS refunds prepaid terms pro rata.
10. Information, not advice. RevView shows figures, forecasts and suggestions (such as pricing advice and automatically written commentary) based on PMS data and external sources. This is information in support of the customer's own decisions, not advice the customer may rely on without its own judgement. Commentary in reports and in the Revvy assistant is written by a language model and marked as such. HS's revenue management services fall under a separate services agreement, not under these terms.
11. Liability. HS's liability per event or series of related events is limited to the amount the customer paid for RevView in the twelve months before the event, with a maximum of €10,000. HS is not liable for consequential loss, lost revenue or profit, loss of data, or loss caused by incorrect data from the PMS or external sources. These limitations do not apply in case of intent or deliberate recklessness on the part of HS.
12. Intellectual property. All rights in RevView, its software, designs, report layouts, models and texts belong to HS. The customer receives a non-exclusive, non-transferable right of use for the term of the agreement. Reports RevView produces for the hotel may be shared within the customer's organisation and with its owners and financiers.
13. Confidentiality. Each party keeps the other's confidential information secret: the hotel's figures are confidential to HS, the workings and prices of RevView to the customer. This obligation lasts three years after the agreement ends.
14. Termination and data afterwards. After the agreement ends the customer can download its reports for 30 days; HS then deletes the hotel data and accounts within 60 days, except for backups (deleted within 90 days), the signed order and invoices (kept for the statutory seven years) and aggregated data under article 8.
15. Changes to these terms. HS may change these terms with at least 30 days' notice by e-mail. Changes to the customer's disadvantage entitle the customer to cancel as of the effective date.
16. Assignment. HS may assign the agreement to a legal successor or to a company that takes over RevView from HS; the customer is informed in advance. The customer may not assign the agreement without consent.
17. Groups. A customer signing for several hotels signs for each hotel in the order. Adding or removing hotels is done through a supplementary order.
18. Law and disputes. Dutch law applies. Disputes are submitted to the court of Amsterdam. The Dutch text of these terms prevails; the English text is a translation.
Terms of use
Accepted by every user at first login.
These rules apply to everyone with a RevView account and are accepted at first login. They supplement the order terms the hotel has signed; in case of conflict the order terms prevail. The Dutch text prevails; this is a translation.
1. Account. An account is personal and tied to one e-mail address. Login details are not shared. Hotel managers and HS administrators use an authenticator app (two-step verification). Users report loss or misuse of their account to HS immediately. The hotel decides who has access and removes accounts of people who leave.
2. Permitted use. RevView is intended for the hotel or group the account was issued for, for its own revenue management. Not permitted: giving access to third parties outside the hotel's organisation without HS's written consent (an external consultant receives their own account through the hotel), passing data or screens to competitors or vendors of comparable software, and using RevView to build a comparable product.
3. No AI assistants, agents or scrapers. RevView may not be operated, read, copied or summarised by automated means: AI browser assistants, agents, bots, scrapers, screen readers used for automation or scripts. This also applies to tools that watch along in the browser on the user's behalf. HS may detect and log technical signs of such use, close the account immediately on a breach and inform the hotel; on repetition HS may terminate the agreement with the hotel. Excluded are the features RevView itself offers (such as the Revvy assistant) and accessibility tools for users with a disability.
4. Revvy and automatically written text. Revvy is an assistant that answers with a language model based on the figures in RevView; this is stated next to the window. Commentary in reports is also written by a language model and checked against RevView's calculation rules. Both are information, not advice; the user forms their own judgement before acting. Questions to Revvy are stored to improve answers and detect misuse (see the privacy statement).
5. Security and logging. HS records per account the sign-in times, IP address, browser type and country, sends a notice on a sign-in from a new device or country, and keeps an audit log of changes to settings. HS may temporarily block an account on suspicious behaviour and then informs the user by e-mail.
6. Availability. HS maintains RevView on a best-effort basis; maintenance and incidents may interrupt the service temporarily. The as-of date next to every figure shows how fresh the data is.
7. Intellectual property. RevView, its layouts, models and texts belong to HS. Reports and exports may be shared within the hotel and with the hotel's owners and financiers, not published without HS's consent.
8. End of use. An account ends when the hotel removes it, when the agreement with the hotel ends, or when HS closes it under these rules. HS may change these terms of use; the new version is shown and accepted at the next login.
9. Law. Dutch law applies. The Dutch text prevails.
Data processing agreement
Part of every order.
This data processing agreement forms part of the RevView order and applies between the customer (controller, "the hotel") and Hospitality Skills (processor, "HS") for the personal data HS processes for the hotel. It gives effect to article 28 GDPR. The Dutch text prevails.
1. Subject and duration. HS processes personal data solely to deliver RevView to the hotel: calculating figures, producing dashboards and reports, preparing forecasts and pricing advice, and delivering report e-mails. The agreement lasts as long as the order runs, plus the deletion period in article 9.
2. Data and data subjects. Reservation data from the hotel's property management system: reservation number, arrival and departure dates, room type, rate, amounts, booking channel, status, creation and cancellation dates and the guest's country code. No guest names, addresses, e-mail addresses, phone numbers or payment details; if the PMS sends such fields anyway, HS removes them before anything is stored. In addition, the contact details of staff and report recipients the hotel provides. Data subjects: hotel guests (indirectly, through country code and reservation) and the hotel's staff and contacts. No special categories of personal data.
3. Instructions. HS processes only on the hotel's documented instructions; this agreement, the order and the settings the hotel chooses in RevView count as those instructions. If HS considers an instruction unlawful, it informs the hotel immediately.
4. Confidentiality. HS staff and contractors with access to the data are bound by confidentiality. Access to hotel data at HS is limited to HS administrators and is logged.
5. Security. HS takes appropriate technical and organisational measures: servers in the Netherlands, encryption in transit (TLS), hashed passwords, two-step verification for administrators and hotel managers, separation of roles and hotels in the application, daily backup to a second location in the Netherlands, audit log, automatic security updates and secrets kept outside the code. HS describes these measures in the RevView security note and keeps it current.
6. Sub-processors. The hotel gives HS general authorisation to engage sub-processors. Current list: TransIP B.V. (hosting, NL), Cloudflare Inc. (network and security, IE/US, DPF), Resend Inc. (e-mail delivery, US, EU region), Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd. (HS e-mail and documents, EU), Anthropic PBC (language model for commentary and Revvy, US, no training on the data), Mollie B.V. (payments, NL; customer data only, no guest data), Bitwarden Inc. (key management, US; no hotel data). HS informs the hotel at least 30 days before adding or replacing a sub-processor; the hotel may object on reasonable grounds within that period, after which the parties seek a solution or the hotel may cancel the order for the hotel concerned. HS imposes the same obligations on sub-processors as in this agreement.
7. Transfers outside the EEA. Transfers to the US take place under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Hotel data sent to the language model consists of figures and channel splits per hotel, without guest data.
8. Assistance. HS assists the hotel with data subject requests (access, erasure and the like) within five working days of the hotel's request, and with a data protection impact assessment or consultation with the supervisory authority insofar as RevView is concerned. HS reports a personal data breach to the hotel without undue delay and at the latest within 24 hours of discovery, with what is known about its nature, scope, consequences and measures, so the hotel can meet its own 72-hour notification duty.
9. Deletion and return. After the order ends the hotel can retrieve its reports and an export of its data for 30 days. HS then deletes the data within 60 days and from backups within 90 days, unless a statutory duty requires retention. Aggregated data that cannot be traced to the hotel or a person falls outside this deletion.
10. Audit. On request HS makes available the information needed to demonstrate compliance (security note, record of processing, sub-processor list) and cooperates with an audit by the hotel or an independent auditor it appoints, at most once a year, with 30 days' notice, during office hours and under confidentiality; the hotel bears the cost unless the audit shows a material shortcoming on HS's part.
11. Liability. The liability provisions of the order terms (part A, article 11) also apply to this agreement. Fines imposed by a supervisory authority are borne by the party to which the breach is attributable.
12. Existing HS clients. For hotels that already receive revenue management services from HS, this agreement supplements the existing arrangements insofar as RevView is concerned; in case of conflict this agreement prevails for processing in RevView.
13. Law. Dutch law applies; the Dutch text prevails.
